Please join Historic Huguenot Street on Saturday, February 25th at 11 AM or Sunday, February 26th at 1:30 PM, for "The Inherent Paradox: A Walking Tour and Discussion of Black History on Huguenot Street." During this one-hour outdoor walking tour, HHS Tours and Interpretation Manager Eddie Moran will lead guests on a deeper dive into the Black experience in New Paltz from the 17th to the 20th centuries. Using a combination of spatial analysis and archival sources, the tour will cover topics of Enslavement, resistance, discrimination, and Black perseverance in our community, while providing a space for contemplation and group discussion.
Registrants are encouraged to dress warmly and wear comfortable footwear, as the tour path equates to approximately 0.6 mile.

This tour discusses topics such as racism and enslavement. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
