Author/illustrator Barbara Bash will talk about the process of creating her children's book on the Little Brown Bat, and how she became fascinated with this mysterious and often misunderstood creature. She will show images from her sketchbooks and do live illustrating.
Bash has written and illustrated a number of award winning books on natural history for children for Sierra Club and Greenwillow Books, among them Urban Roosts: Where Birds Nest in the City and In the Heart of the Village: The World of the Indian Banyan Tree.
