The Event Chairs and Board of Historic Huguenot Street extend a warm invitation to our inaugural Spring Celebration in honor of the Munsee Native Americans. By the time of the Huguenots’ arrival, the Munsee had been living in the Hudson Valley, including the region that would become New Paltz, for more than a millennium.
Guests will be able to experience the wigwam being built on site to mark the 340th anniversary of the 1677 land agreement between the Munsee people and Huguenot settlers. Hors d’oeuvres, wine, and other beverages will be served.
